Capabilities

What Blood Management covers.

The whole chain in one place: who donated, what was screened, what is on the shelf, who asked for it, and which patient received it. A unit carries its own history from the vein it came from to the vein it went into, so a look-back takes minutes instead of a week of paper.

A donor register that chases itself

Who has given, who is eligible, and who is due again, so recruitment is a list rather than a campaign.

Collection through screening

Each donation follows its screening decision, and nothing reaches the shelf without one.

Stock you can see across sites

Units by group and component, at the facility, the satellite and the whole county, with what is reserved and what is free.

Traceability and haemovigilance

Every unit links donor to recipient, and a reaction can be traced back through the chain without opening a file room.

How it works

From source data to outcome.

01

The donor gives

The donation is recorded against the donor's history, and the donor becomes due again on a schedule.

02

The unit is screened and banked

Screening decides what reaches the shelf. What does is in stock, grouped and dated, visible wherever it is held.

03

It is issued and followed

Requests, crossmatch and dispatch are tracked to the patient, so the record closes where the transfusion happened.
